Our coffee subscription works like this: you pick one coffee, choose whole bean or ground, set how often it ships, and it arrives on that schedule at 11 percent off the regular price, until you change or cancel it yourself in one click. There is no minimum commitment and no fee to stop.
What "no commitment" actually means here
A lot of subscriptions use that phrase loosely. Ours means three specific things. First, there is no minimum number of shipments, you can cancel after the first one. Second, there is no cancellation fee or phone call, it is a button in your account. Third, skipping a delivery does not forfeit the discount on the next one, the 11 percent off applies for as long as the subscription is active, not as a reward for staying a certain length of time.
How to set it up
- Choose a coffee from the full lineup of ten. Every one of them is 28 dollars for a 12 ounce bag at regular price, so the decision is about taste, not cost.
- Choose whole bean or ground on the product page.
- Pick a delivery frequency. Two to four weeks is typical for one person brewing daily, longer if you only drink coffee on weekends.
- Check out. The subscription price, 11 percent below the one-time price, applies automatically.
From there, every future order uses the same coffee and schedule until you go into your account and change something.
Which coffee to start a subscription with
If this is your everyday cup and you are not looking to rotate, start with a coffee that does not ask much of your routine. No. 1 Common Sense, a washed Colombian medium roast with cocoa, red apple and brown sugar, is built for that: drip or French press, milk or black, no adjustment needed week to week. If you like the idea of dialing a coffee in rather than repeating it, No. 7 Praxis, a washed Guatemalan medium roast with dark chocolate, bright fruit and butterscotch, is meant to be brewed a couple of different ways before you settle on a ratio, which gives a subscription something to do beyond just showing up.
Our pick
No. 1 Common Sense
Huila and Medellin-Antioquia, Colombia · 1,300 to 1,500 m · Fully washed, solar dried · Castillo, Caturra, Colombia, Typica · Medium roast
The cup you make every morning without thinking about it, which is what a subscription is for.
What changes if you skip or cancel
Skipping a delivery moves the next charge and shipment back by one cycle and nothing else. Canceling stops future orders entirely, but does not affect anything already shipped, and you can start a new subscription later at the same 11 percent rate. Shipping is free either way, on a subscription or a one-time order, anywhere in the US. If you would rather see the full policy in one place, it is on our FAQ page.
Why we keep it to just the one price
We do not stack extra promotions, seasonal sales or countdown offers on top of the subscription price. The 11 percent off is the only price break we run, it applies the same way to every coffee and every customer, and it does not disappear if you skip a shipment or change your mind about the frequency. The tradeoff is that a subscription is the only way to get a lower price here, there is no separate offer to wait for.
One coffee at a time, on purpose
The subscription ships one coffee per delivery rather than a rotating sampler. If you want variety, the way to get it is to change the coffee in your account before the next order goes out, using the same page you would use to skip a delivery. That keeps the mechanics simple: one coffee, one schedule, one price, until you decide to change something. If you are switching from a pre-ground supermarket bag or a pod machine, our guide to moving to whole bean covers what else changes, grinder included.
Try it for one shipment before deciding whether to keep it going.
Questions people ask
Does a coffee subscription cost more or less than buying one bag at a time?
Less. A subscription is the same coffee at 11 percent off the regular price, delivered on whatever schedule you set. There is no signup fee and no minimum number of shipments.
Can I change the coffee or the schedule after I subscribe?
Yes. You can switch to a different one of the ten coffees, change whole bean to ground or back, move a delivery earlier or later, or skip a shipment entirely, all from your account, before the next order is charged.
How do I cancel?
In one click, from your account page, at any time. There is no phone call, no retention offer and no fee for canceling.
