No. 4 Conjuncture
A fully washed Kenya from Othaya in Nyeri County, grown between 1,700 and 1,890 m and dried on raised beds. SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian. Bright and effervescent. Orange, lemon and florals. The roaster does not publish a roast level for this one, so neither do we.
In the cup
Orange, lemon and florals. Kenyan coffees are known for bright, juicy acidity, and this is the loudest cup in the range on purpose. The roaster does not publish a roast level for this one, so neither do we.
Who it is for
The cup you make when you want the coffee to be the loudest thing in the room.
How to brew it
Pour-over, a touch coarser than usual, 94 °C. Kenya is acidic on purpose. If it tastes sour rather than bright, grind finer.
This bag is whole bean. Grind it right before you brew: fine for espresso, medium for drip and pour-over, coarse for French press and cold brew. Want it ready to brew in a drip machine? Choose Ground above.
Filter coffee is at its best roughly 5 to 21 days after roasting, espresso about 10 to 30 days. Keep the bag closed, at room temperature, away from light.
